Omnicomic review of Satanic Hell #2

Here’s an excerpt:

“Douros has infused the issue with tons of backstory on the characters and the Council, giving the reader a better sense of the world the characters inhabit in the book…The art (primarily by Enhart) is scratchy in appearance, which really works for Satanic Hell #2. It conveys a sense of despair that the band likely feels and is further accented by Kerast’s colors. Reading the issue makes you feel like you’re watching a horror movie”

Fanboy Comics: Satanic Hell #2 “Exciting and Engaging”

by Grigoris on August 17, 2012 at 4:03 pm

Bryant Dillon of Fanboy Comics had this to say about Satanic Hell #2:

“Douros did a good job of setting up the characters and world of his book in the first issue, and in the issue following he expands and explores further. There’s a great opening scene taking place in Dallas where we see the “evil” religious council that rules Texas focusing their efforts on the “Satanic Hell” band. We also finally see the band in action and get back story on some of the members. The art throughout the book is expressive and atmospheric, and artist Kevin Enhart should be given credit for delivering an exciting and engaging book. Still, he has to share that credit, to a large degree, with colorist Jimmy Kerast. The colors in this book are amazing and help capture the eye, keeping one’s focus on a panel or page for an additional, extended glance.  The colors also add immensely to the mood of the book. Kerast’s muted sunlight makes the initial council scene feel even more ominous, and his bright, glowing colors in the concert scene sell the excitement of the scene.”

Review Fix on Satanic Hell #2: “plot still has our complete attention”

by Grigoris on August 14, 2012 at 2:28 am

Review Fix takes the first look at Satanic Hell #2, arriving this August 18.  Patrick Hickey Jr. had this to say,

“Douros’ ability to pace the comic and still entertain and tease are a main attraction in the book. The same goes for the solid art of Jimmy Kerast and Kevin Enhart. As gritty as the best thrash metal around, the book has a unique look that is ultimately appealing and in its own way, beautiful.”
